Instruction to and about children given by Adi Da Samraj
In this expanded reissue of the 1984 audiotape Children Must Be Liberated (Discourse from 1978), Adi Da first gives humorous and loving answers to two questions from children. He then speaks of the freedom and the responsibility that parents and guides must grant to children for the sake of their "growth and out-growing" in human and in Ultimate terms. The CD concludes with a never-before-published recitation by Adi Da of His Text "A Child's Guide To Happiness", from The Happenine Book (recorded in 2006).
You do not get freedom without responsibility. That is the absolute functional lesson of human existence. Freedom is necessary. Young people must realize their freedom - in other words, their independence, their self-consciousness as functional individuals. And at the same time, they must realize complete responsibility for all the relations they may contact, all the relationships they may have as an individual. And that whole game of freedom and responsibility must be realized by them in the sacred plane of Divine Consciousness, or Divine Communion.
