From the Adidam Revelation Discourses 2004-2006
Talks given by Adi Da Samraj
With great humor and penetrating insight, Adi Da unravels present-day scientific presumptions about evolution, astronomy versus astrology, ancient religions, the expanding universe, the "Language" of mathematics and shape, and more. He masterfully describes how knowledge is an effort to achieve power over nature, based on the fundamental illusion that there is such a thing as an independent (or "objective") "point of view". In this process, Adi Ad calls His listeners to be free of all false authorities, and to consider the Way that perfectly transcends "point of view" itself.
"The method of science is a very usable method. It is a very superior method for finding out some kinds of things. And it is a discipline. And, just like if you become religious in some sense, committed to do a certain sadhana or practice, it is a discipline that you must do with integrity. So science is a discipline. When you add a philosophy to it that limits what you can know, defines what is acceptable knowledge and excludes all else from even being examined - not to mention being known or known about - that is not science anymore.
